Today, Friday 25th July, Santanyí has dressed up for a big party to celebrate the day of our patron saint, Sant Jaume! Since early in the morning we have enjoyed a day full of tradition and emotion.
We started with the Albada, with the Santanyí Municipal Music Band and the xeremiers of the terme. Afterwards, we attended the solemn Office in honor of Sant Jaume, presided over by Mn. Carles Seguí Pou, and with the voices of the Sant Andreu Choir. The Agrupació Sa Mitja Lluna danced the Oferta, accompanied by the xeremiers.
At the end of the service, the celebration continued with the interpretation of the Balanguera by the Municipal Music Band, followed by the majestic dance of our giants, Bernat Cinclaus and Maria Ramis, by the giants of Santanyí and the xeremiers of the district. To close the morning, Sa Mitja Lluna gave us a vibrant display of boat dancing.
Thank you to everyone who made such a special day possible!
