Concert of sibyl singers from the last hundred years in Santanyí

The municipality of Santanyí hosted a very special concert this weekend that brought together male and female sibyl singers who have performed the traditional Song of the Sibyl over the last hundred years. The event, full of emotion and symbolism, pays tribute to one of the most emblematic manifestations of Mallorcan cultural heritage.

The event was held in the town's parish church, where several generations of performers shared the stage to revive a tradition that has been alive for centuries. The audience, who filled the temple, was able to enjoy different versions of the song, each with the nuances of each era.

The concert wanted to recognize the work of all the people who have contributed to preserving the Song of the Sibyl, declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. The evening concluded with a joint performance that moved those in attendance and reaffirmed the municipality's commitment to preserving its cultural roots.
